Everything on our facility is inspected before each use by our certified team members, and also inspected yearly by Challenges Unlimited Inc.Technical Standard & Safety Authority (TSSA), and Ontario Camps Association.

OUR ACTIVITIES

All of our activities are located on a beautiful 35-acre property in Carp, Ontario. Each of our elements has been professionally designed to foster such skills as problem solving, teamwork, communication and leadership.

Low Ropes Course

Our Low Ropes Course is the largest low ropes course in Eastern Ontario. It includes over 15 elements that focus on improving many individual and group skills. From team building to leadership and communication to problem solving, there is an element for everything. With so many options at the Low Ropes Course, you can tell us if there is a specific skill you wish to focus on, and we can hand pick the best elements for you and your team. If you just want to have a good time, we can do that too!

Climbing Wall

Climbing Wall in Ottawa

The climbing wall offers a character-building challenge to those who wish to face it. With the options of easy, medium, and hard, climbers get to choose their difficulty and set their own pace. Although just because you are on the wall alone doesn’t mean it is an individual challenge, those on the ground have the responsibility of belaying for their peers. This helps develop trust between everyone involved. The belayers must work together and listen to the lead belayer to ensure the safety of their fellow climber. While teaching about respect and responsibility, the Climbing Wall is tons of fun!

Vertical Playground

Corporate Challenges' Vertical Playground and Climbing Wall

The Vertical Playground is an aerial obstacle course that includes tires, ropes, tubes, ladders and more. With the ability to have participants on the front and back, climbers must use teamwork and communication to help each other make it to the top. Just like the Climbing Wall, the Vertical Playground keeps everyone involved through the use of belayers. The Vertical Playground is a great element for creating a strong sense of community within participants, as they are all working together to help the climber achieve the personal goals that they set before they climb.

Obstacle Course

Our obstacle course will challenge you physically and mentally. Race against your friends or against the clock and see if you can make it to the end.

Archery

Archery in Ottawa

Archery is a unique sport, in that there is no speed element to it, and archers are typically just competing against themselves. This facet allows participants to develop an increased sense of patience, focus, and confidence. Being able to tune out any distractions and concentrate on the target in front of you is a challenging experience. As participants shoot more often, and start to progress in their skills, they quickly build self-confidence. Archery helps to improve hand-eye coordination by training parts of your body to work together while performing different tasks. With eight targets and a selection of bows to choose from, we can entertain a large group with archery.

Archery Tag

Archery Tag in Ottawa

Archery Tag is played similar to dodgeball, except with bows and foam-tipped arrows. The exciting, action-packed game offers the ultimate experience that keeps everyone engaged and entertained. While using and developing the same skills used in archery, archery tag also provides a team experience for those who play. The many different game variations allow for endless hours of fun and team building. It is important to note that players experience virtually no pain when “hit” by an archery tag arrow. Bubble Soccer

Bubble Soccer in Ottawa

Bubble Soccer combines soccer and bubble wrap to bring you a new twist on a classic sport. While inside an inflated bubble that protects you from all outside elements, you play a game of soccer. Here’s the twist, body contact isn’t only allowed – it is encouraged! The absorbing structure of the bubble keeps you out of harms way, making bubble soccer safer than regular soccer. The game is as fun to watch as it is to play, but it’ll be hard to resist joining in on the game!

Inflatable Jousting/Wrecking Ball Arena

Our large inflatable offers two activities. The first is a jousting arena where two opponents go head-to-head as they attempt to knock the other off of their pedestal. Don’t be fooled, it’s harder than it looks to keep yourself from falling over! The second activity our inflatable offers is the Wrecking Ball Arena, which starts with four people standing on their respective pedestals while tossing around a wrecking ball hanging from the top of the inflatable. You can play in teams of two, or do a free-for-all and see who the last one standing is!

Knot Tying Station

It goes without saying that knowing many different knots can be helpful in a variety of situations, but there are also several other advantages of knot tying. Practicality aside, tying knots is a type of mental puzzle. Learning and practicing how to tie numerous different knots stimulates the brain and is a mental activity that you can easily continue after your time at Corporate Challenges. Knot tying is also a great exercise to keep fingers agile, while simultaneously strengthening them. Our facilitators know tons of different types of knots, and our Knot Tying Station is a great place to learn them!

Campfire Pits

The benefits and reasons of building a campfire are the same today as they were back in the stone age. Whether it’s for light, warmth, or cooking, the survival skill is something that is definitely worth knowing. Where better to learn best practices of starting a fire than in 5 Star Corporate Challenges’ own campfire pits located deep in the woods? From gathering kindling to setting up the base of the campfires, our facilitators will take you through the essentials of every step.

Food

While at Corporate Challenges, you can choose to have food provided for you on site. Our industrial barbecue allows us to be able to feed large groups. We always make sure to cook plenty of food, so that everyone gets more than enough to eat. Please make sure to let us know of any allergies or dietary requirements in advance.
